About Stars & Stripes Car Wash
Located at 7520 W McNab Rd, North Lauderdale, FL 33068, Stars & Stripes Car Wash operates as a self-service car wash serving North Lauderdale in Florida. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as car wash, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
Car washes in the United States come in four main formats: the express tunnel, where you stay in the car while a conveyor pulls it through brushes or high-pressure jets; the full-service wash, where attendants vacuum and wipe down the interior after the tunnel; the self-service bay with a coin or card-operated pressure wand, foam brush and vacuums; and the hand wash, where a crew washes and dries the car by hand. Touchless tunnels skip the cloth brushes entirely and rely on chemicals and water pressure, which is gentler on paint but less effective on heavy grime. Most express chains sell an unlimited monthly plan, usually priced at two to three single washes, that is only worth it if you wash more than twice a month. Gas stations often bundle a discounted wash with a fill-up.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open Open 24 hours. North Lauderdale is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and North Lauderdale follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I had a pretty disappointing experience here. Multiple parts of the wash was not working properly. The soap setting never dispensed soap, the spray gun was damaged/flimsy and difficult to use, and the spot-free rinse was also out and only sprayed regular water. By the end, it basically looked like I had just sprayed water on my car the entire time. Hopefully this was just an off day, but the equipment definitely needs attention. Totally waste of money.

Decent car self-service car wash. Don’t come with high expectations. The water pressure is good but the soap doesn’t come out of the pressure washer. Use the triple foam (different dispenser). They have a membership option via an app if you wash often, but I haven’t used it yet.

I’ve been coming to this self-service car wash for close to 10 years, and the reason I keep coming back is because I prefer self-service over automatic washes that scratch paint. That said, this place has seriously gone downhill. The brushes are completely worn out and should have been replaced years ago. The soap hoses are brittle, tangled, and constantly kink where the brush meets the hose. When you’re on a timer, that’s incredibly frustrating—you have to stop, untangle it, and go slow just to get soap to come out. On top of that, the entire place is filthy. The walls are covered in grime, there’s mold on the walls and floor, and nothing looks maintained. It’s hard to tell which bays or machines are working because everything looks neglected. A car wash should have at least some basic cleanliness and upkeep, and this one doesn’t. This place could be much busier, but I’m guessing people avoid it because of how dirty and run-down it looks. New brushes, new hoses, and regular cleaning would go a long way. Right now it feels like money is being collected without reinvesting into the business. I like the concept and I want to keep coming here—but if I find another clean self-service o

Updated Review: My last 3 visits absolutely no soap whether during the week or weekend. Just spraying water straight through on soap setting. Foam brush bristles coming apart, place is dirty, no one never available to fix the equipment or check on the soap definitely needs to be shutdown not getting the service I paid for feel like owner is ripping off customers at this point clearly doesn't care and leaves bs responses to other reviews acting like he's going to fix the issues but will never happen. When was the last time there was any real fully maintenence done on all stalls? Time for BBB to get involved and owner needs to start refunding customers their money. Keep up the good work running this self car wash right into the ground or hopefully out of business and taken over by someone better someday. Old review: Worker on premise is useless I told him the soap wasn't coming out the hose ended up wasting a couple minutes by letting it run on soap setting, said he couldn't do anything about until Monday when the repair guy comes in and he told me to call some number when I asked him for reimbursement on the minute I lost, just needed four quarters but no big deal. Don't come here unless you have a lot of time to waste. Out of all the bays, there are usually five or six people washing my bucket, hand drying, playing on their phone, or under their hood. These people just use the bays to do whatever they want, and the owner encourages it, so he doesn't have to pay for all the soap that they don't use.
